Algerian Government sources have rated the visit of the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, last week in Algeria in the category of political visits, saying it has reached the desired objectives on the Algerian side but without the French businessmen attaining their pre-set goals, namely a full order book.
Moreover, knowledgeable sources told Echorouk that French Premier Manuel Valls, left by being disappointed at the outcome of his visit to Algeria.
Our sources also revealed that the Algerian diplomacy has striven to make this trip possible on the dates initially set by taking the necessary steps that this visit would neither be canceled nor delayed by the French government at the request of some hostile circles in Paris demanding such an adjournment in the light of tensions fuelled by a French media campaign that hit Algeria and its most prestigious institution, embodied by the President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
The same sources added that the Algerian diplomatic protests didn’t stop only at the summoning to the foreign ministry of the Ambassador of France in Algiers a few days before the visit of Valls but also negatively affected the dinner given in his honor along with a number of distinguished guests.
