Trade Ministry: 15,000 merchants to apply substitution system during Eid el Fitr

Commerce Ministry deployed a total of 15.675 traders in the framework of the program of maintenance for Eid al-Fitr, with an estimated volume of 14% of the number of last year’s registered traders.

According to a statement of the Commerce Ministry, Blida has topped the list of Wilayas in terms of the number of 2205 merchants who are deployed to shift, followed by Algiers by 2015 dealers with an increase of 10%, and Oran with 1918 dealers, according to data that was provided by the ministry, as the number of bakers who are concerned with maintenance on the day of Eid al-Fitr at the national level from 3.286 bakers in 2013 to 3.373 bakers in the current year. 
Setif counts 665 bakers, who will provide their services on Eid el Fitr days, while their number in Algiers reached 454 bakers with a rise of 30% compared to 2013. 
According to the ministry, 8.239 merchants of food, vegetables and fruits will provide their services to ensure continuing supply to market during the days of Eid, as markets noticed a significant increase in the number of merchants during the current year, at a rate of 16%, compared with recording a maintenance of 7.057 merchants in Eid el Fitr 2013 . 
Bechar, southern Algeria, is expected to include 1.283 traders of foodstuffs and vegetables, with an increase of 411% in 2013, and 1,163 traders in Oran, western Algeria, with an increase of 15%, and 1.059 merchants in Algiers, increasing by 20% compared to 2013. 
Commerce Ministry deployed 4.285 for the exercise of other commercial activities on the days of Eid al-Fitr, compared to 2.965 traders during 2013.
Commerce Ministry asserted that 274 production units will work in Eid el Fitr days, with an increase of 7% compared to 2013.
