Traders will have to pay 500,000 DZ if they close shops on Eid
Provincial commerce departments warned traders and bakers who do not respect duty hours to pay 500,000 DZ fine. This is meant to ensure food and bread on the Eid days. Provincial transport departments opened new lines to catch up deficit.
“Those measures must be respected. The list of duty bakers is noted,” president of Bakers’ National Federation Youcef Guelfad told Echorouk on Sunday.
Spokesman for Traders and Craftsmen’s General Union Hadj Taher Boulenouar said the number of traders concerned by duty during the Eid reached 14,146 including 3,488 bakers.
He added that every trader who does not respect the duty will be prosecuted, his shop will be closed and he will have to pay 500,000 DZ fine.
“On Eid El Fitr, 300 traders were punished. Of them, 28 were in Algiers.”
Press attaché at Transport Workers’ National Federation Abdelkader Bouchrit told Echorouk new transport line permits were opened in municipalities and provinces to enable people to use transport means during the Eid.
