Traders’ Union spokesman warns against partisan manoeuvres
The spokesman of the Algerian Traders and Craftsmen Union Tahar Boulenouar has warned against giving the mayors the power to grant permits for the legalization of the parallel business to avoid political manoeuvres ahead of next year’s legislative elections.

-
He has indicated that it was rather appropriate to assign this task to the trade register offices in a move to tighten control over this type of business and bare the route for opportunists.
-
-
M Boulenouar has cast doubt over the requirements for the eligibility to benefit from these permissions knowing that those illegal traders have only to sign on a form to cherish the right to practice his business.
-
-
The interlocutor has expressed concern over the probability to see hundreds of legal traders shifting to illegality in order to benefit from the incentives decided by the authorities for this category like tax exemptions.
-
-
He seized this opportunity to call on the craftsmen, traders , wholesalers and retailers to abide by the prices fixed by the government and keep their shops open to avoid turbulences linked to shortages.
