The anti-corruption actions carried out in Algeria are still very insufficient to stamp out the scourge that has brought the country to rank in the 88th slot out of the 168 most corrupt countries worldwide.

The latest ranking worked out by the NGO in charge of the fight against corruption, namely “Transparency International” made public recently states  that Algeria is a country that is still very corrupt, with the rate of corruption reaching its peak in the country’s various public bodies and institutions.

Algeria should assimilate this lesson, especially since it is among the most corrupt countries in the world with a very low rating of 3.6 out of 10 instead by being classified in  88th spot, the same score registered during the years 2014 and 2013.

As for neighbouring Maghrebian countries, Morocco ranks in the 88th place with a score of 36 out of 100, while Tunisia for its part is considerably in a better position by securing the 76th spot worldwide.
