Tunisian Politician, Hicham Housni, and Secretary General of the “People’s Progressive Party” in Tunisia, calls for lifting the necessity of security coordination between the two countries, Tunisia and Algeria, to a new stage, which is the formation of a joint force on the ground, to protect and secure the Tunisian borders from ISIS.

He told Echorouk; “Terrorist attack of Monday morning , was planned in advance by the ISIS decision-making circles, and “Ansar al-Sharia” and “Al Qaeda”, to divide the region, particularly Tunisia to a south and a north, then the rest of the countries in the region, after the creation of hotbeds of tension in southern Tunisia.”

“Plan, which began in 2005, and then the Arab Spring continues with new tools, which is are the terrorist organizations, but as citizens of the state in Tunisia and Algeria we will counter it.”

“We have warned the Tunisian government that what took place in the era of the troika of big operations to smuggle weapons inside Tunisia, and place them in stores that are known well by the terrorists in the country, is paving the way for such a stage. The infiltration of terrorists on Monday aims to find weapons in the region.”

Political situation in Tunisia is unstable, helping to raise more tension, which exacerbated the social protests, and the government failed to control them. Border with Libya allowed the infiltration of terrorist elements with civilians, and awaited the zero hour for the move, which requires more vigilance. Security coordination with Algeria should not remain at its current level on the exchange of information, but must rise to the formation of a joint force to protect the two countries, because the occupation of southern Tunisia by ISIS means directly creating chaos in Algeria.

As for the situation in Libya, he said that the current crisis is artificial, because the powerful people are subject to foreign agendas, and will agree on these agendas, and therefore, the plan to destroy the Maghreb region is in Libya, and therefore the situation is very serious and requires more vigilance and cohesion between the Tunisian people and army to secure the border.
