Tunisians invade Algerian border cities
The number of Tunisians passing across Algerian border centers in the province of Tebessa has increased in the last three days compared to previous weeks. This comes in spite of security measures set up in western Tunisia, Echorouk has learnt.
More than 2,000 Tunisians enter Algeria across its border centers per day. Most of them come from high lands.
According to the same sources, those Tunisians would have preferred to enter Algeria across Tebessa to avoid going to big Tunisian provinces or the capital. The increase of Tunisian dinar price pushed a large number of Tunisians to go to Algeria.
The number of Algerians who want to go to Tunisia sharply went down except for those who seek medical care, according to customs. This is due to security situation and commodities high cost.
