Twining of Algerian, French tax administrations
ALGIERS – An institutional twinning has been launched Tuesday in Algiers between the General direction of Tax (DGI) and the General Direction of French public financing (DGFIP), under the coverage of the European Union.
The project, funded by the European Union (EU) through the program to support the implementation of the Association Agreement (P3A) between Algeria and the EU, is one of five twinning projects provided under this program, said its director, Aissa Zelmati.
It aims in particular the continued improvement of relations between the tax authority with taxpayers, better organization of procedures relating to indirect taxes and those relating to fiscal control, relief and collection procedures and reducing processing times, according to the Director General of Taxes, Abderrahamane Raouia whose structure was already receiving technical assistance from the DGFIP.
