Two men caught smuggling 340 corneas in Algeria
Algeria’s National Gendarmerie Wednesday foiled an attempt to smuggle 340 corneas made in the US to Algiers on a bus, Echorouk has learnt.

The corneas were carried by two men on the bus going to Algiers from the province of Tebessa (east of Algiers). They were arrested and taken to police station, according to the same sources.

Sources say many people buy such medical products in that way because of their reasonable price and to avoid transplants.
