US may ban Algeria from security list
The US administration will make some changes to the list of countries including Algeria subjected to additional security measures in airports, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Janet Sanderson said on Sunday.
- The US official said the policy is in the process of being reviewed, adding that there may be some changes to be done.
- She believes that Algeria and the US are linked by good relations built together. Though they have different positions in some issues, there are no conflicts in depth. “We share the same goal, which is the protection of our country and people.”
- She also said she held good talks with Abdelkader Messahel, minister delegate in charge of Maghreb and African affairs. They talked about bilateral cooperation and means to enhance it further.
- She expressed her satisfaction about Algeria’s big changes in the field.
