Volkswagen plant to open officially Western Algeria

German car manufacturer Volkswagen will be officially installed in Ghelizane province (Western Algeria), with a production capacity of 100,000 cars per year, and with a cost that will reach $ 170 million.
The factory is expected to produce three varieties of cars, which are the Classic Polo, Skoda Octavia, and Amarok “pick up”.
Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, visited Germany, on Tuesday, on the occasion of the Algerian-German Business Forum, and called upon the German economic investors to come to Algeria and take advantage of the “large” investment opportunities that are provided by Algeria, especially in the field of SMEs that are capable of contributing in the productive investment, wealth creation, job opportunities, technology transfer and promotion of vocational training.
Sellal said in a joint press conference with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel: “We want together to develop relationships in all fields, including the cultural aspect, as we agreed to conclude an agreement that will open the way for fruitful cooperation in this field. I feel optimist that the Algerian-German parties have joint mechanisms for cooperation and consultation, and they meet regularly, whether it comes to political, security or economic issues.”
“Positive talks, which brought him together with the German Chancellor allowed the addressing to all the bilateral files with a focus on the possibility of the development of relationships between the two countries, and developing them to the level of a strong partnership”, pointing to the spirit of mutual trust between Algeria and Germany.
“Two parties discussed many international issues and matters of common interest, the views of Algeria and Germany are identical, particularly with regard to the peaceful means in resolving conflicts and disputes and the need to search for ways to lay the foundations of peace and stability in all parts of World”.
“It is necessary to continue to fight terrorism in all its forms. Algeria will firmly fight ISIS to enhance security.”
