Air Algerie company ended negotiations and consultations with the Pilots’ Syndicates for Higher Wages, which it started through the open meetings since weeks ago, after the office of experience “CITIC” presented the results of the study on salaries and wages, which operated since years ago.

It is expected to announce the official increases, which are expected to reach up to 400,000 ZDZ in the coming days.

Sources from the company said Air Algerie is moving to the signing of the increases for the benefit of pilots, which is expected to reach up to 400.000 ZDZ depending on the experience and seniority, at a time when the final results are not yet reached for the rest of the staff whose number reached 9,000 people, which increased their resentment and force a lot of them to protest if they will be excluded from the increases, led by the commercial crew which contains 1200 workers, flight attendants and technicians.

Air Algerie administration tires to absorb the anger of pilots, whose number reaches 400 pilots and a large number of them did not benefit from annual holidays since more than 10 years, as well as the pressures which they face because of the deficit that was estimated by the Transport Minister, Boudjemaa Talei, earlier with 200 pilots. Which make them open recruitment and training competitions across the Oxford Institute in the United Kingdom, where a large number of winners in the competitions, at a time when other pilots of Air Algérie will benefit from the same training.

Air Algerie also prepares to open the Institute for the Training of Pilots and Staff in Algeria and specifically in the area of Ain Beniane.

Which would be an important step to reduce the training expenses, which may reach up to 3 billion centimes per pilot, at the time the company announced a month ago about the new modernization scheme with comfortable financial circumstances, as its profits did not exceed during 2014 the equivalent of 100 billion centimes, which pushed it to the commitment of the policy of austerity and guidance of expenditure by reducing expenses of all directorates without exception.
