Washington sure that Algeria is able to ensure its security, U.S. Ambassador Henry Ensher says

United States intends to strengthen security cooperation with Algeria, U.S. Ambassador Henry Ensher said, during a press conference which he organized with the Commerce Ministry’s Secretary General, Issa Zamti, a few days before the opening of Algiers International Fair, as the United States will be the honorary guest of this year’s edition.
“Security is the basis of all economic activity, and in addition to the economic cooperation, we intend to strengthen our cooperation in the security field. USA is sure that Algeria is able to ensure its own security, as well as its ability to perform its leading role with the help of other countries of the region, to ensure its own security”.
In response to a question to know whether the United States plans to sell drones to Algeria, Ensher described this “permanent” preoccupation about the special processing as “strange”, adding that the security cooperation requires a wide range of equipment and systems.
In conclusion he said: “We are working with the Algerian government to strengthen our cooperation in the security field.”
In another context, the United States announced its participation with more than a hundred businessman and American companies in the 47th edition of Algiers’ International Exhibition which will start on the end of May.
