World Novelist Paulo Coelho Extols the Holy Quran

Recently, renowned Brazilian novelist, Paulo Coelho, posted a global picture with several excerpts of the holy Quran on the social networking site “Facebook” which is followed by over 25 million people, and classified the holy Quran among the most paramount books that have changed the world.

The commendable move stirred up a lot of debate and controversy as well, given the weight of the famous Brazilian author of the novel “the Alchemist” which was translated into 67 languages, and which achieved a turnover of 150 million copies worldwide.

This publication has been widespread, and has scored more than 38 thousand imprints and 4,000 contributions, and the largest Brazilian newspapers also published in “Folha de Sao Paulo” lengthy reports on this laudable release of author Paulo Coelho under the heading: “Novelist Paulo Coelho firmly defends the Quran and says that this holy book has literally changed the world”.

These Brazilian newspapers also offered an interpretation that numerous world scientists agreed that no there were in the holy Quran no detached verses from the historical context. 

And for those ill-informed people who leveled  some criticism at the Qur’an, saying falsely that it calls for violence and  murder, Writer Paulo Coelho responded as follows: “This is not true, we as Christians for centuries had tried to impose our religion by the force of the sword, you can check it out in the dictionary of the events of the Crusades, they killed women on the pretext of being witches, and fought the world as it was in the case with scientist Galileo, so one should not blame the religion itself but those who manipulate its wavering proponents in order to misguide them for shadowy purposes”, he underscored in his telling arguments defending the Muslim’s Noble Quran which was  revealed about 15 centuries ago to lofty Prophet Mohamed (God’s peace and blessings be upon him) by Allah God Almighty.
