Yebda: “Napoli’s fans like Algeriansâ€
Algeria’s international player and Napoli’s midfielder Hassan Yebda Wednesday said that the atmosphere made by his club’s fans is the same he found each time he played for Algerian team either in Algeria or in any other country, where excitement is the salient feature in the stands.
“Napoli’s fans are not different from Algerian fans in terms of enthusiasm in stadiums and obsession for football, as the Italian city Naples, where Maradona became a legend, noticed good results due to the amazing performance of the club in this season’s Italian League”, Yedba said.
“I am fortunate because I played in many European Championships such as France, Portugal and England and every league has its special characterizations; however, in Italy I found all features like techniques and physical performance”, he added.
“Algerian team’s chance to qualify for the CAN 2012 exists; however, Desert Warriors must defend it until the last game and the beginning will be the match against Atlas Lions next June. Certainly it would be a tough game for both teams given the nature of the match, which is a North African derby, just like things were during the first leg in Annaba”.
