- “When I came here, I was out of form, because I didn’t made pre-season preparation with Benfica. So, I trained in solo. I arrived to Napoli in 31 August, and my first training with the team was on 1 September. I couldn’t get back my form on time. Yet, my integration was swift, and everybody warmly welcomed me,” the midfielder said.
- In terms of football, Yebda (26) claims that “the Serie A is a mixture of physic technique and tactic skills; and I think it’s the championship that suits me, given that I played in France, Portugal and England.”
- Concerning his future in Italy, Yebda says: “I got 5 games to play with Napoli, and then we will see. Napoli and Benfica will hold talks at the end of the season to lift the selling option (paying 3 million Euros), talks should go deeper.
- “I have had wonderful and hard moments in Benfica. I like the Serie A and I feel alright here, why not staying here.”
- As for the performance of Algeria squad in the qualifiers to 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), the playmaker said: “Well, we made a wrong start when we drew at home with Rwanda and away with Tanzania. We lost to Central Africa away too under hard conditions. We played without several key players as well. Against Morocco at home, we were ok physically, and we managed beating them (1-0). Now, we still have a crucial game in Morocco next June.” He added: “Our clash against Morocco will be exiting. We will go there to give the best of us, and one thing is sure we won’t go there to lose!”
