Youcef Yousfi in Riyadh for IEF ministerial meeting

ALGIERS- Energy and Mines Minister Youcef Yousfi is to take part next Tuesday in an International Energy Forum (IEF) extraordinary ministerial meeting in Ryad, Saudi Arabia, said Sunday a ministry's statement.

The meeting will examine member states’ adoption and signing of the IEF Charter.

The Energy ministers taking part in the meeting will also review reports on cooperation between the forum’s secretariat and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the International Energy Agency (IEA), in relation to energy deals carried out since the last ministerial meeting, held on 30 March 2010 in Cancun, Mexico, the statement added.

Algeria was elected, at the last IEF Executive Committee meeting, as co-organizer of the next ministerial forum, due to be held in 2012 in Kuwait.
