Young man sets ablaze administrative offices and spreads panic among the population
A 20 years old man has yesterday at around 11.30 a.m set fire to the local administration’s headquarters in the province of Mila, northern Algeria, spreading panic among the employees who were on duty.
- According to Echourok sources on spot, the act was carried out suddenly and swiftly when the young man got off a car and broke the glass gate then stormed the office with a jerry can filled with petrol that he spread on the floor and set fire before running to an unknown destination.
- The man was arrested Thursday late at night and investigation was started to determine the causes that compelled the youngster to carry out this act.
- Apart from the thick smoke and the explosion caused by fire, there wasn’t any injury among the employees or the clients who were evacuated from the emergency exit, but the General Secretary was lightly injured as he jumped from the first floor to run for his life.
