Zidane will be accompanied by many known personalities including Peace Nobel Prize winner Mohamed Youcef and Danone’s CEO Frank Riboud.
Five partners…A five-dinar-product
Five partners participate in the Saha Zine project. They are: Danone, Cevital, Zidane’s enterprise, the Algerian Red Crescent and Danone Comminities.
The project aims at sensitizing people about improving children’s health through a new product containing 30 percent of iron.
Saha Zine is a commercial operation meant to further children’s health with a new product. Danone and Cevital will produce the iron substance which will not be announced before January. It is rich of iron and its price does not exceed 5 DZ.
New product to more than 700,000 Algerian children everyday
Organisers say the delegation led by Zidane will visit a school in Algiers to attend workshops to sensitize pupils about food. Danone and its partners target at least 700,000 Algerian children.
Saha Zine, beginning of new phase
The Saha Zine project is the first of its kind in children’s food. Algerian health and national education ministries will contribute to it. That would enable to sensitize more than 3.7 million children about food.
Danone and its partners hope to work in future in the same sense in order to get closer to children and work in prevention, health and food.
