Zitouni: National Card For Mujahideen And Assignees To Stamp Out Bureaucracy
The Minister of Mujahideen or War Veterans, Mr. Tayeb Zitouni, said Sunday in Algiers that instructions had been given to all administrations concerned to rescind all the documents required for the Mujahideen, allowing them to enjoy their rights through the direct connection of all the provincial directorates to the National Register.
As part of the fight against bureaucracy and to alleviate the administrative procedures, “all documents required for the Mujahideen and their assignees have been canceled,” said Mr. Zitouni, on the sidelines of a broad-based meeting with the provincial directors of the Mujahideen sector.
“The connection of the regional branches to national register allowed to “cancel all records required for this category of citizens,” he said.
There is a new decree providing for the “restructuring of the ministerial department of Mujahideen and other decrees will be published shortly pertaining to the rest centers and international museums,” the minister stated.
To a question on the budget of the Ministry enshrined in the 2017 finance law, the Minister said it was a matter of “rationalization of expenditures”, similarly to other sectors of activity.
Mr. Zitouni pointed in his address before the provincial directors, to the need to work for the enshrinement of the message of the Declaration of 1 November 1954, shored up by the various reforms notably by the last constitutional revision.
He commended, in this, all efforts meant to preserve the national memory which must be used as a tool for fostering the sense of national belonging, as he put it.
The capital Algiers will host the official festivities celebrating the 62th anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious National Liberation War, with the working out of a multifarious program for every wilaya or province of the country.
