100 Turkish Businessmen To Win Deals In 26 Sectors In Algeria

Algerian-Turkish Business Council will meet on Tuesday at the Sheraton Hotel in Algiers in the presence of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia and 100 Turkish businessmen who are active in 26 economic sectors, the most important of which are textiles, agriculture, food industry, electrical appliances and furniture, and Algerian organizations of employers, med by the forum of heads of institutions and its chairman, Ali Haddad, as the meeting will be organized by the Turkish Council of Foreign Economic Relationships “DECA” .

All Algerian organizations and employers received an invitation from the Turkish Embassy in Algeria to participate in the Algerian-Turkish Business Council that is held today at the Sheraton Hotel starting at 11:30 am in the presence of the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, and on the Algerian side, the meeting will be chaired by the Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia.

According to the text of the invitation, which copy is received by Echorouk, the Business Council will be attended by 100 Turkish businessmen from 26 sectors, namely the sectors of agriculture and cattle breeding, food industry, textile and garment, wood products, tourism and financial sector and offices of expertise, engineering, energy, environment, electronics, electrical and construction and transport services and logistics, medical processing, chemical products, paper products, health, information and communication technologies.

On December 20, the Turkish Council for Foreign Economic Relationships (DECA) invited all employers ‘organizations and the Algerian Patrona, including the employers’ organization FCE or the forum of heads of institutions that is chaired by Ali Haddad, the Algerian Confederation of Employers and the Federation of Algerian Institutions, as workshops between the two parties will be organized to discuss opportunities for partnership in various fields.

The textile sector is one of the most important areas in which Algeria recently chose to be partner with Turkish clients, and it comes to the textile factory, Tial, in Glhelizae (western Algeria), which employs 10,000 Algerians, and which was created in partnership between a Turkish company and bankrupt Algerian textile factories, and they will produce  cloths, wool and yarn, and it is expected to enter into service in its first line at the end of the current year, with two other production lines in the first half of 2019, with a production capacity of 24 million units, and a large quantity that is expected to be exported abroad.

The steel dealer, Toushialey, is one of the most important models of the Algerian-Turkish partnership in the field of heavy industry, which is active in the Batiwa area of ​​Oran (western Algeria). 

Its capacity is expected to reach 2 million tons per year, and will also work with the iron and steel complex in Annaba (eastern Algeria), and the project of Bellara in partnership between Algerians and Qataris in the state of Jijel (eastern Algeria), as these three projects will contribute to the self-sufficiency of iron in Algeria and stop the import beginning in 2019.
