4G Internet to reach countrysides, villages for the first time in Algeria

Algerie Telecom company launches the second phase of the fourth-generation “4G LTE” by the end of current March, as the priority will be during this phase, for the countrysides, villages and isolated areas, which are not covered by the process during the first year, and will benefit for the first time from high flow internet, which flow may reach up to 160 Mbps per second.

Sources which follow the file told Echorouk that the technical teams of Algerie Telecom are currently visiting the Wilayas, and especially the isolated areas for the installation of necessary network equipment for the fourth generation “4G LTE”, referring to the priority during the deployment process for the second year, that will be for the villages and isolated areas, which are not covered during the first year, which was a year for evaluation of this new technology.
In this context, the two Chinese companies “ZTE” and Huawei, which are considered the two global technological solutions for communications and Internet, will provide the development of the fourth-generation network, “LTE” of Algerie Telecom in its second phase, and this after signing a contract with the complex to begin serving the fourth generation network in the second phase in 14 states across the Northeast of the country. 
According to Echorouk sources, the signature took place two days ago, on the sidelines of the International Conference of the Mobile Phone “MWC” in Barcelona, which ended on Sunday, as the two Chinese companies will develop the fourth-generation network “LTE” or “Long Term Evolution” with Higher flow.
