600,000 employees to get compensation

Chairman of the National Association of Community Service Mustapha Benouis said the service will be officially launched in December as it was frozen.

“The Commission received 30 percent of the total budget. The sector employees will be compensated for surgeries, x-rays and analyses starting from January. Allowances will be offered to widows and orphans,” Benouis told Echorouk.

He added that more than 600,000 employees will benefit from community service as it was frozen. A total of 17 regional education authorities out of 50 obtained their financial budget.

The Commission will start paying allowances to widows and orphans along with death grant. Employees and workers will get compensation of 60 percent for surgey costs as from December. Analyses and x-rays will be compensated by 50 percent.

Speaking about retired teachers, he said their situation will be settled by paying their 2014’s delayed pension estimated at 250,000.
