90 % of employment competition sucessful candidates are women
Partial results that were announced by some Education Directorates on last week-end showed that female candidates succeeded by nearly 90% against male candidates in the teachers’ recruitment competitions.
Echorouk sources reported that some school directorates started, since days, the announcement of the recruitment competitions’ results in the sector of professors before the deadline that was set by the Education Ministry, and is only considered a partial declaration of results in some of the modules, just to show off in front of the ministry through showing best efforts in the announcement of results.
National Secretary in charge of organization at the National Syndicat of Education Workers, Kouider Yahiawi, told Echorouk, that the recruitment competitions’ results to join the rank of professor in one of the educational stages, has been announced in the four provinces, which are; Tindouf, Bechar, and Tissemsilt.
“Female candidates’ success rate reached 90% compared to males, according to the lists that were published by the departments of Education.”
“This will pose the problem of vacancy in the office in the coming school year, on the grounds that the appointment of new professors is usually taking place in the isolated areas. The problem of vacancy will be discussed seriously, because most of the successful in recruitment competitions are women and usually refuse to join their posts in the isolated areas because the schools are far from their houses, especially in the south.
For his part, National Secretary in charge of Information and Communication at the CNAPEST, Messaoud Boudiba, said that the Wilayas, which published lists of the successful before the deadline that was set by the Education Ministry, only chose the announcement of the lists in some modules.
“It is impossible to announce all the modules about the overall results currently, because the number of candidates is large due to the expansion of the list of scientific and technical disciplines, and then the services of public employment cannot complete the process before June 30.
Previously, the Education Minister, Nouria Benghabrit, revealed during a national forum for the 50 Education Directors, that the official announcement of the pedagogical employment competition, will be on June 30, as the competition noticed the participation of more than 70,000 candidates who compete on 19.000 posts, and the successful will be subject to a mandatory training as from July 3, in the training institutes for 6 weeks, which is the equivalent of 180 hours.
