Members and Activists dissidents of the Rally for Culture and Democracy (RCD), announced on the creation of a new party called the Movement for the Republic (MPR).

RCD dissidents expressed their support of Bouteflika’s fourth term, in light of the impossibility to make a change by the street and the acceptance of the idea of change within the regime.
Former RCD activist, Rabeh Bouseta, told Echorouk on Monday that the Democracy project has no future in light of the current situation, especially after the people reject the option of change throughout the street, and this happened during the protests of 2011.
“We are trying to accept the idea of imposing a change from within the regime like Amara Ben Younes and Khalida Toumi. The new party will connect calls for everyone without exception and even those who are currently in the government”.
The announcement came during a press conference by Bouseta and a number of activists at the party’s temporary headquarters in Didouche Mourad, as he accused Said Saadi of political business and playing on various points.
“He is the party’s decision maker, as he forced recently three regional offices to issue a statement to denounce the protests against the fourth tern, and when he did not receive a response from the authorities, he went to Harcha Hall. This is a dangerous message which means that Saadi accepted the map that came from Qatar”.
“Our new party is represented in 31 Wilayas of the country, and will deposit the file of its founding assembly at the Interior Ministry, to obtain a license for holding the founding conference of the Movement for the Republic”.
