A pupil tries to recruit 25 youth within Daesh in Syria via Facebook

Algiers security services arrested a secondary school pupil who in Boudouaou, who tried to recruit 25 youth within the ranks of the terrorist organization “Daesh” in Syria, after he urged them via “facebook” to join the fighters there.

Informed sources said that the cyber-criminality services, succeeded after intensive investigations in determining the identity of the accused, and he is still under interrogation by the competent authorities, after they received confirmed information about the implication of a minor in extremism, which seeks to recruit a large number of youth via facebook.

Investigation by the competent authorities led to a surprise raid in the home of the minor and the seizure of lists of names that include a number of wanted terrorists.

It is known that since a month ago, a young man was questioned for his involvement in the crime of engaging in a terrorist group that is operating abroad, via “facebook”. 

The accused was arrested and referred to investigation at the Court of El Harrach, proved his involvement in “Daesh”.

 Investigations which were initiated by the Eastern Province of combating terrorism show that the suspect joined the fighters via facebook, and they influenced him and called him to join Jihad and the militants “after the brainwashing process”, as he visited France where his aunt lives, and then went to Syria and was trained there by “Daesh”, where he was wounded by a rocket that made him flee to Turkey there, and was arrested based on the decision of the French and Spanish authorities, then he was handed over to the Algerian authorities, which transferred him after investigations to El Harrache prison by order of the public prosecutor.
