Abdelkader Messahel: Absence of an empowered authority, popular mobilization is key factors on the recovery of terrorism and its expansion

Wall which is protecting from terrorism is to built to create a strong internal front, that is formed by several elements, which the security elements is one of its pillars, and that the right approach to the combat this scourge is paying attention to various social and economic sectors, and the religious side as well, President Bouteflika’s personal advisor, in charge of the security file, Kamal Rezzak Bara.

He responded to a question that is related to the existence of a security danger in Algeria, saying that talking about the existence of a risk by “zero” percent does not exist in any place of the world.

President’s advisor was asked about the meeting that was organized on Wednesday in Algeria and was attended by 50 countries and 50 international and regional organizations, on the fight against violent extremism and eradication, was held in Algiers club des pins, recalling that Algeria has the experience in combating terrorism, in the benefit of different countries, but the experience cannot be considered a model because each country has its specificities that must be respected.

“Talk about the fight against terrorism does not mean the fight against Islam, but the fight against crime; we derive our values ​​and principles from tolerance of Islam and the message of Mohamed (PBUH).”

For his part, Minister of Maghreb Affairs and the African Union, and the Arab League, Abdelkader Messahel, asserted that the fight against violent extremism and terrorism must include the Internet, which is the better means for terrorist propaganda and the best tool for the recruitment into terrorist groups.

Messahel highlighted, in a speech by the way, that the double flow of foreign terrorists and the growing number of countries to which they belong are considered indicators of the urgency nature of the drying of new sources of recruitment, and the financing of terrorist groups, and the solution that should be found to ensure them, must be away from solutions that depend on the conversion of the threat to the hotbeds of conflict or tense regions or areas where there are less possibilities to impose order and maintain security.
