Movement for Society and Peace (MSP) described Algeria’s position on the death sentence against the ousted Egyptian President, Mohamed Morsi, and the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood.

“This attitude is unacceptable, and said its leader. The Algerian government is asked to take a positive position of the sentences that were issued by the Egyptian justice against the Brotherhood in Egypt. MSP’s MPs will fill lawsuits for the trial of the Egyptian regime at the Algerian international courts.”

Mokri told Echorouk, on the sidelines of the sit-in the was organized by the movement out of its headquarters in Algiers, on Friday, that the government should take a clear and positive attitude against the death sentence that was issued by the Egyptian regime against Morsi, accompanied with other leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood group in Egypt.

“Algeria should take a position like that of the German government, which condemned these provisions alongside with Turkey.”

“This sit-in is a message from Algerians to the Egyptian regime, a message of principle and stance of values. This sit-in is similar to the sit-in that was undertaken by the values Association in Algeria in 1965, which condemned the execution of Sayid Kotob. MSP stands today freely because the sons of the Algerian revolution were backed by all peoples and parties, and today it stands by Morsi and Badie and others. Charges on spying with HAMAS are false, at the time HAMAS is considered of movement of resistance. MSP’s MPs will issue a statement on behalf of the movement to sue Egyptian rulers because of issuing death sentences against Morsi and his companions, and will organize another sit-in out of the parliament doors. MSP will start a set of visits to embassies of countries here in Algeria, to explain its position and to mobilize support for these countries to stop these provisions, and prosecute the Egyptian regime before the international courts.
