Abolition of documents authentication formally adopted in Algeria

In view of the last publication of the Official Gazette, institutions, departments, agencies, public bodies, community groups, and services which belong to them, would not require legalization of documents’ copies that were issued in the framework of administrative procedures which they prepared, except with cases that are expressly issued under the presidential law or decree.

Services of departments and institutions that are mentioned above can ask for the provision of original documents when it comes to administrative procedures through preparing a file for granting a right or license that necessitate the investigation that is required by security and public order, as the same procedure should be applied when the version is unread or corrode, and in this case the deadlines to do the procedure until presenting the original document.

Public administrations also, in all cases, can make sure of documents’ authenticity using all means, particularly by exploiting the rules of data collection in the framework of cooperation between the departments.
