Accusation chamber refuses to release Gen. Ben Hadid
Accusation chamber of Sidi M’hamed court upheld a decision of depositing that was issued by the investigating judge against the Gen. Houcine Ben Hadid, who retired from the ranks of the National People’s Army, and who is currently detained in temporary jail for nearly three weeks.
Mr. Bachir Mechri, the defense lawyer of General Ben Hadid told Echorouk in a phone conversation, on Wednesday, that the indictment Chamber refused to release its client, who will remain in custody until the hearing.
Indictment Chamber’s decision came after two days to make a decision to support the order of deposition in the case of his son, who was also detained based on a decision of the body of Bir Mourad Rais court on the charge of possession of a weapon without a license, while the retired Gen. was charged with attempting to demoralize the armed forces, after the statements which he made to media.
Ben Hadid’s defense body, which is consisting of the two professors, Mecheri and Khaled Bouraiou , appeal the arrest procedures, and said it was “illegal in view of the arrest of their client on the highway” immediately after his release from a hearing in the case of his son and “surveillance”, and also criticized the process of inspection of his house.
