Air Algérie cancels the weight system on corpses transfer

Air Algerie cancelled the work with the weight system to transfer the corpses of Algerians who died abroad and transferred to their homeland, as it will adopt as from now, the arbitrary value for adults and children, and reduce the travel ticket of the person who accompanied the corpse.

A measure that came in the same day on which Echorouk published an article about circumventing the weights of Algerian corpses and amplified their prices at Orly Airport in France.

In this context, a statement of Air Algerie, which copy is available to Echorouk, said that in order to get more close to its customers and the Algerian community in France, Air Algerie company started the implementation of the new pricing for the corpses transfer to Algeria without taking into account the issue of weight.

“This new measure about the pricing will be based on the arbitrary value and not on the basis of weight, based on the proposal of a simplified and standardized pricing that will be applicable in the first stage on flights from France, and which form about 95% of the total volume of this type of transportation.”

“Regarding the prices, the flights that embarked from the Paris airports, Lille and Metz will be in the range of 150 Euros for kids and 490 Euros for adults.”

“As for the flights that embark from Lyon airport, the prices will be at the level of 130 Euros for kids, and 430 Euros for adults, and those which embark from the Airports in Southern France, like Marseille, Toulouse, Nice and Bordeaux, they would reach 110 Euros for kids and 375 Euros for adults.”

“Air Algerie will apply discounts on tickets for persons who will accompany the corpses, as it is possible that they may reach up to 50% instead of 33%. This is in view of the seizure degree.”
