A project to turn Air Algerie to a complex that is divided into branches, including catering which new regulations were announced, on Monday, and a branch of the maintenance and another for cleaning, as this would be included in the program which will be announced soon, and will be covered by these branches through proposing its services to foreign airlines that are operating in Algeria, in the explicit plan through which “Air Algerie” aims to pull the rug from the private catering companies, General Manager of Air Algerie, Mohamed Abdou Bouderbala, said, on Monday, during the sidelines of the announcement of the new regulations for catering, at Houari Boumediene Airport.

“New structure is almost ready and will be disclosed shortly after the completion of the study of all the branches that will be transformed into independent companies with a director and board of directors that are active within Air Algerie Complex. New managers should work hard to achieve the programs that are prepared on their desks, as this restructuring aims to improve the catering and maintenance services, which will address 10 aircrafts daily at the same time.”

“New catering meals will include for the first time Algerian traditional dishes, like Couscous, Borak and Methaoum, aiming to introduce Algerian heritage and improve services, and will also propose special dishes for diabetics and blood pressure patients, as passengers will only inform the flight attendants when boarding the plane to prepare dishes that fit with their health. There will be Algerian dishes of local products that are manufactured in Algeria.”
