Algeria ambassador to Belgium: “Algeria sets conditions to expel immigrants from European Union”

Number of Algerians who are legally resident in Belgium rose to 31,000 Algerians until last November, Algeria Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Ammar Belani said.

“Preparations started for a meeting in the coming January with the European Union on facilitating procedures for Algerians in the Schengen space.”
Algeria ambassador to Brussels added in a special statement to “Echorouk”; “Number of Algerians who are living in Belgium legally and who are registered at the level of Algerian consulate in Brussels rose to 31,000 Algerians, most of them are living in Brussels and its suburbs.”
With regard to the Algerian immigrants who are in Belgian prisons, Algeria commissioner in the European Union, asserted that the majority of these illegal immigrants are living without documents, as they came directly from Algeria or from other countries, such as Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Spain, and are living with forged documents or without any document, before being arrested by police in Belgium.
