Algeria grants interest-free loans to 24 provinces
Algerian interior minister Nourredine Badaoui Friday said the government will grant interest-free loans for residents in the south and high lands (24 provinces).
Badaoui said the loans will be intended for home modifications. The ministry will coordinate with the housing ministry. Other interest-free loans will be granted to shop owners in order to boost commercial and economic activities in those provinces.
On a working visit to the province of Ghardaia, the minister said additional budget will be granted to for as part of local development.
In a meeting with local elected representatives, the minister stressed the necessity of mobilizing all the means to develop Ghardaia after the crisis it had passed by.
