Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika Monday conducted a partial reshuffle among judges following a previous one carried out late in August.
“In accordance with Articles 78 and 154 of the Constitution, the President of the Republic and the Chief of the Justice Higher Council Abdelaziz Bouteflika conducted a partial reshuffle to judges and Attorneys General,” said a release issued by the President’s Office.
The reshuffle touched Algiers, Bordj Bouarreridj, Naama, Bejaia, Tiaret, Setif, Saida, Skikda, Mascara, Bechar, Tlemcen and Oran.
Three women were promoted to hold the position of judge in Jijel.
This comes as a large reform is conducted in legislative sector in Algeria.
