Algeria: Recent government reshuffle heads off 8 General Managers
The President of the Republic Mr Abdelaziz Bouteflika ordered Sunday, changes at the head of somefinancial institutions and public economic enterprises, said a statement of thePresidency of the Republic.
The head of State also instructed the relevant authorities to implement these changes ‘without delay’, added the press release.
After the recent cabinet reshuffle, major changes were conducted be so operated this Sunday, May 24th 2015 at the head of several State-owned enterprises, banks and financial institutions.
Government sources said that a new CEO was named today as the head of Sonatrach.
The national hydrocarbons group will be henceforth led by Mr Amine Mazouzi in replacement of Abdelhamid Zerguine who was sacked from his post last July.
Since then, the largest Algerian company has been headed by an acting CEO namely Said Sahnoun.
The Director-general of the Algerian customs, Mohamed Abdou Bouderbala, for his part forsake his post to succeed Mohamed Salah Boultif at the head of the national airline company Air Algerie.
Mr. Bouderbala was replaced as customs general manager by Mr Bentahar Kaddour who previously was in charge of the regulation service at the General Directorate of customs.
According to the same source, all the directors of public banks were changed notably at the head of the Algerian national bank (BNA), the local development bank (BDL) and the CNEP savings bank. Others switched positions.
