Algerian housing minister Abdelmadjid Teboune Thursday said the payable second advance for public promotional houses is fixed at 100 million centimes.

“In the beginning, the first advance was fixed at 150 million centimes. Yet, AADL applicants who had transferred their case to LPP wanted the government to reduce the sum to 50 million centimes. The other applicants will pay the whole sum,” Teboune told journalists.

Speaking about applicants who did not pay the advances, the minister said they can pay the sums due. An instruction was given to real-estate directors to contact all the concerned applicants.

He added that applicants are allowed to choose the site of their houses. “This is meant to give transparency on houses distribution.”

Asked about wrongdoings in houses distribution in Bir Mourad Rais, the minister said security forces and housing general inspecting department were informed about that. An investigation will be carried out.
