Algeria: Stringent conditions for selection of travel agencies involved in 2016 Umrah or small pilgrimage

The National Office for the Hajj and Umrah is to work out a new book of specifications governing the selection process of those travel agencies involved in the organization of the next pilgrimage season probably later this week, and this legal document will include this time stringent and binding conditions to be entirely fulfilled by the travel agencies concerned, notably regarding the smooth management of the 2016 Umrah or small pilgrimage to the holy places of Islam in Saudi Arabia.

The relevant travel agencies involved in the organization of the next Umrah season will start receiving as early as  next week the new specifications book, which is expected to include strict conditions for the agencies involved in the organization of  hadj pilgrimage and Umrah and the way they go about their work by fully taking in charge all the Algerian pilgrims’ concerns and needs in the holy places of Islam.

The agencies to be picked out during the selection process, will thus face a difficult exam on the part of the relevant authorities who are now determined to straighten out things and to ward off the recent lapses and gross deficiencies committed by some failing travel agencies during this year’s eventful hadj pilgrimage season marked by tragic incidents.
