Syndicalist Council of National Institution of Civil Aviation threatened to paralyze airports on December 20.

Civil Aviation Staff will organize an open protest across airports in Algeria, starting from this date, and will launch an open labor strike if their demands will not be realized.
Decision of the National Institution of Civil Aviation aims to organize a sit-in, after the failure of all efforts to dialogue, and the lack of commitment by the administration, which was during the meeting session that were held in April and December 2013, and most recently in May 2014, as the Syndicalist Council denounced the administration’s failure to respect the laws and agreements that were concluded.
Syndicalist Council raised a petition of demands that includes 10 items in the private notification of the sit-in, and which was sent to each of the Transport Minister and the Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Workers, and Algiers Labour Inspectorate, as the Council called for the inauguration of the Committee with equal members, in order to negotiate a collective agreement, and the right to take advantage of additional hours for the staff working with the team system, and a half team system, and several professional and functional demands like reclassifying workers, and settling the career ladder, and reconsidering the benefits of missions.
