Algerian lawyers launch the initiative to defend the Palestinians at the International Tribunal

President of the Lawyers Organization, Mr. Cellini Abdelmadjid, announced from Algiers the launch of an initiative by the syndicate’s lawyers to support and defend the Palestinians before the International Criminal Court.
Cellini explained in a seminar that was held on Wednesday at Algiers Judicial Council in “Ruisseau”, that Algerian lawyers will discuss at the International Conference, which will be held on 6 and 7 June, all mechanisms to defend the rights of the Palestinians in front of the International Criminal Court.
“Algiers lawyers’ syndicate launched this initiative by virtue of the task’s privacy. We, Algerian lawyers demonstrate and embody our support and our service to the Palestinian cause. Lawyers from several foreign countries like the United States, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Argentina, ambassadors of Palestine and its representatives, joined the Algerians lawyers to discuss and find a solution to raise the causes of Palestinian oppressed people in front of the criminal courts, to condemn Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians.”
“Algerian lawyers want from this step to disclose and make sure of the credibility of international justice towards those who are currently the most powerful, though this justice knew only sentences against Africans and weak rulers.”
“Lawyers who have the membership in the International Federation of Lawyers ask the Palestinian Ambassador to let them provide all procedures and burdens, and communications to supply and demand the rights of the Palestinian people, considering that the occupation of Palestinian territories is in itself an war crime, regardless of the genocides and other crimes, like the imprisonment of thousands of Palestinians in Israeli jails unlawfully, announcing the formation of a joint committee between the Algerian and foreign lawyers to defend the rights of Palestinians”.
