Algerian students in first place at the level of French universities
A report by the French Embassy in Algiers revealed that the Algerian students represent the number one of all foreign students who choose to study in France, as the French universities receive 23,000 Algerian students per year.
The same source added that the Algerian students in France represent 8% of the total foreign students who were received by the French universities, as France is considered the third state in the world in terms of attracting foreign students, and in this context, France allocates considerable budget to Algeria in the framework of cooperation and scientific research, as it is estimated with two million Euros.
In this context, the number of agreements that are signed in the framework of partnership and cooperation between the Algerian and French universities reaches around 800 agreements that included several variety of programs such as “Tassili and Morocco”, for the convergence of research laboratories and training in doctorate, and the network that is shared between French and Algerian engineering schools and other programs and conventions.
In this context, the French ambassador, Bernard Emier will meet, here on Monday, at the headquarters of the French Embassy, over 170 Algerian students, who will continue their studies in France in the next school entry, a move that was realized during the meeting between the Higher Education and Scientific Research, Taher Hadjar, and the French Ambassador, in which the two sides stressed the importance of scientific cooperation between the parties and supporting it by all possible means.
It should be noted that over 170 candidates for the educational program of the French Cultural Center gained agreement to complete their studies in France, and were directing according to their academic level and qualifications in Algeria, to complete their projects in France, both those related to Master or doctorate, as they succeeded in obtaining records in French university institutions.
