Algiers airport workers to launch a strike on Sunday
Employees of conducting the interests and services of Algiers International and Internal Airport, launch here on Saturday, a strike and vowed to paralyze all services of the airport, because the administration decided to punish and lay off the striking workers and the failure of the Ministerial Inquiry Commission to reach any result, and keeping the ground demands stuck without any realization, which will affect the international and national flights that volatility will notice, on Sunday, a paralysis through the cancellation or postponed program.
In the same context, the coordination of striking workers told Echorouk, that the workers of the company of conducting services and facilities in Algiers Airport have decided to protest a protest movement as from tomorrow, April, 26.
“All the services and interests of the company would stop working, to protest against the punishment policy that is pursued by the administration to isolate the workers who protested in the previous strike, similar to the activist Khalifati Samir, who was fired after 29 years of service.
According to the protesters, the movement would include the Internal and International Airport, and will include information, luggage, and buses offices, signal, lighting and assistance systems, on the grounds that many other services are directly related to the flights.
Protesters demand the abolition of all sanctions that are taken against the workers, and considered that the administration resorted to punishment, intimidation and extortion policy, immediately after the last protest on last March, despite the promises of the minister, Amar Ghoul, of not touching any protesting workers, as they also insisted on the need to disclose the results of the work of the Ministerial Commission of Inquiry, which was formed following a strike on last March, and which did not show any effect after her, as well as the disclosure of the results of the Ministerial Committee of Inquiry, and despite more than a month after its formation did not yet show any trace, and the demands remained stuck.
Striking workers of the central syndicate are accused of colluding with administration against the workers services, saying it will become a blind worker for the General Director, Taher Alache, instead of standing with the workers and their demands.
