Ali Haddad: “It’s up to the Algerians to deposit their money in banks without fear”
The chairman of the forum of heads of national enterprises (FCE), Ali Haddad, has asserted that some ill-advised people are seeking to draw a grim picture of the homeland. He castigated them as a group of “liars” who are trying to deceive the Algerian people, and he accused of striving to preserve their own vested interests and of having done nothing worthwhile for the nation.
He further dubbed “oil” as a calamity that turned into a blessing, while calling on all businessmen to buckle to the task and to strive for the sustainable development and economic revival of Algeria.
Mr Ali Haddad pointed out in this context that he met the Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal a month ago, and told him that the state ought to only confine itself to ensuring the provisions of energy, water resources and roads to the people, leaving the rest to the private operators who are able, he said, to brighten the country’s economic prospects through the smooth implementation of outstanding socio-economic projects in various fields of endeavour.
He further underlined that the FCE Forum isn’t at all a “political party and its objective is solely designed to help boost and shore up the national economy away from any political orientation.”
Businessman Ali Haddad also called on Algerians not to waver and to deposit their money in the country’s banks without fear, and take advantage of the incentives and tax exemptions endorsed by the government in the 2015 Finance Law.
