An “unarmed” passenger threatened to blow up Boeing plane
Investigations conducted on the Lyon Airport in Paris showed that the Algerian who warned to blow up an Air Algerie plane did not carry any arm, Echorouk has learnt.
The plane pilot is expected to submit a detailed report about the operation to Air Algerie’s CEO Mohamed Abdou Bouderbala.
This comes as a 37-year-old passenger suddenly stood up in the plane and shouted “I will blow up the plane.” That raised panic among 37 passengers on a Boeing 737.
Security forces searched the man but they did not find anything.
The plane landed on the Lyon Airport where gendarmes searched everyone along their luggage. Then, it took off without the concerned passenger.
According to the same sources, surveillance measures were stepped up at Houari Boumediene Airport after Eid Al Adha. This comes following information about an attempt to blow up the airport.
