Armed Forces To Vote Outside Barracks In Best Circumstances

Maj. Gen. Ahmed Deputy Minister of National Defense, Ahmed Gaid Saleh, reiterated the security measures that were taken to ensure the success of the elections’ date and called on members of the army to carry out their electoral duties.

Gaid Saleh said during a meeting of the Air Force Command: “Our country will see important legislative elections on May 4, which is a very important national event for our country and our people. These elections come after the last constitutional amendment”.

“Duty of citizenship imposes on the members of the army to carry out their electoral duties outside the barracks, in accordance with the laws of the republic and in accordance with the measures that are taken in coordination with the Interior Ministry, which will allow all our military personnel to vote freely and transparently, and participate with their fellow citizens in the performance of this important national duty”.

“In order to ensure the good conduct of the elections. All security measures are taken to ensure the good conduct of legislative elections. We have taken a precautionary and proactive approach in order to ensure security and stability throughout our national territory and along our long national borders”.

Gaid Saleh praised the positive results that are achieved at the level of the air force: “Positive results that are achieved at the level of all the other forces of the national army, is the fruit of a long and lasting growth of the firm and continuous work that we have been pursuing”.

“It is the fruit of a long and lasting growth, and the firm and continuous work that we have been carrying out, and it is true today to say that this effort is uninterrupted and relentless, and it motivate us to do so in this spirit and determination, and only with a firm and categorical faith in the national values ​​and pride, in belonging to this dear homeland, and the duty of supporting the land and people of Algeria, and preserving its security, independence, stability and territorial integrity”.

In the end, the Maj. Gen. urged to raise the level of scientific, cognitive and technical qualifications, and to ensure a high degree of awareness of the requirements to achieve the desired results: “This is the heavy and noble responsibility that is placed on the members of the air forces of different classes and levels, as I always seek to enable them to recognize and take this responsibility, at all times, and this is what requires everyone in the field of powers and responsibilities”.
