Arrest of Kaddafi's former Ambassador to Niger, together with terrorist chieftain’s brother
Well-Informed sources confirmed to “Echorouk” that security forces specialized in the counter-terrorism struggle rounded up in the past few days, inside Niger territory, Libya’s former Ambassador of the ousted Kadhafi regime, on charges of supporting terrorism as he was accompanied by the brother of the “Emir” of a southern based terrorist group led by terror chieftain alias “Tarmoune Abdel Salam”.
According to”Echorouk” sources, the former diplomat was arrested together with the terror ringleader’s brother on aboard a four-wheel drive vehicle, between the towns of Djanet and Tinelkom on the southern border.
They were in possession of considerable quantities of staple foodstuffs and commodities including semolina and flour, in addition to medicines and milk, which were ostensibly destined to Tarmoune’s terrorist group operating in the southern areas, the same sources added.
