Pages on Facebook circulated images of the Baccalaureate exam questions in mathematics and Arabic, 15 minutes only after the exam had been kicked off.

The images show a challenge against measures set by the national education ministry to secure the Baccalaureate exams. Candidates could carry smartphones although minister Nouria Benghebrit had warned against any use of mobile phones.

Many candidates used 3G technology to take photos of the exam questions and post them on Facebook.

The minister admitted the questions leaking and told journalists that the smooth running of the Baccalaureate exams 2017 will not be affected.

She also said an investigation was opened and “justice will be severe with people behind the questions leaking.”

Earlier in 2016, the Baccalaureate exam questions were leaked and a second session was organized.
