Banks' officials, dealers smuggle “hard currency” to Dubai and Alicante

Investigating judge of Bir Mourad Rais court ordered, on Monday, the temporary jail against four people, while two others who are on the run are still wanted, on charges of smuggling hard currency, money laundering and threatening the national economy, in which banking frames and traders are implicated, and they fled through the phantom companies, as they worked to resettle their virtual operations in public and private banks on the expense of bank accounts in Dubai and Alicante, transferring large sums of hard currency.

According to reliable sources, the process which details were uncovered by Algiers security services, showed that the network, which included banking frames and a number of traders, whose ages range between 35 and 60 years, resorted to opening balances under false names, and they also found five fake companies under the labels of exporting and importing goods, to cover their illegal activities through relying on forged bank and customs’ documents, then worked on the localization of virtual business operations, during which they pumped hard currency and transferred it towards foreign banks, without receiving any products which are subject of resettlement, and among operation of smuggling hard currency, there is the smuggling of One million Euros.
Case, which is considered as a painful blow for the solid nucleus of an international smuggling and money laundering cell, which details were dismantled by the security of Algeria, and the investigating judge charged the four detainees, and those who fled, and the wanted traders with heavy accusations relating to the smuggling of currency and money laundering, at a high degree of risk and threat to the national economy.
