There is a need to move from conservation and restoration to understanding and reasoning, while an appeal was sent to the social partners to work on the stability of the sector, starting with the signing of the Charter of Professional Ethics, Education Minister, Nouria Benghabrit said, during a speech on Saturday, at the supervision of the opening of the National Symposium on the assessment of school reform.

“It’s time to rewrite the compulsory phase programs, announcing the inauguration of a joint committee with the Interior Ministry to improve the primary school performance. Coverage in preparatory education is not enough. School dropout problem is still on the table.  We should pay great importance to the education of the disabled, by providing all the conditions and means to carry on their studies.”

“Number of students doubled 10 times since independence, so that the number of teachers reached 400,000 professors, a figure that has doubled 17 times than it was in Independence. Illiteracy rate dropped from 85% to 15% in 2014.”
