CASNOS Sends Over 200.000 Demands For Businessmen To Pay Contributions

National Social Security Fund (NSSF) “CASNOS” sent, until Sunday, 200.000 demands for contributions payment to businessmen, traders and craftsmen, and all citizens who do business, to settle their payment for obligation contributions, and the operation is continuing to include another 2 million people, while June 30 was defined as a deadline to pay the dues of the Fund.

General Manager of the National Fund for Social Security for non-employees, (NSSF), or “Casnos”, Achek Youcef Chaouki, told Echorouk, that a series of extraordinary measures and facilities are launched to motivate the non-wage workers, after they will declare their free activities which they create for their own accounts.
“Casnos services sent, until Sunday, 200.000 demands for all citizens who engage in free business, such as businessmen, traders and craftsmen, to settle the payment of contributions, and the process continues to include 2 million out of 3 million payers”.
“On the other hand, Casnons imposed, until March 31, 2017, fines on more than 300.000 citizens who are engaged in free activity, as a tax on their arrears in the payment of contribution dues. Over 50% of the arrears in the payment of contributions for the past years will be cancelled for people who provide evidence of the delay in paying dues, while farmers who provide compelling reasons such as drought and terrorism, will benefit from the cancellation of the fine for the past years, and the same decision is applied for traders whose activities were interrupted due to public works or whose shops were exposed to an accident that is proved during the appeal to the concerned services”.
“Monitoring system is strengthened and the number of supervisors increased to more than 350 with university-level, and who were trained at the level of the various Casnos agencies. They are issuing warnings to the retarded, which will be followed by freezing the bank accounts in case of non-registration and payment of dues, as punishment may reach the final booking of the shop and judicial follow up”.
“Raising the pot of contributions will enable the improvement of the level of social services, especially with regard to retirement. This new measure will be a source of funding and balance of the social security system by ensuring coverage of expenditures through incomes. Since January 2017 until now, over 700,000 new subscribers were registered at the National Fund for Social Insurance for non-wage workers”.
